The La Vergne Public Library is one of the cultural centers of the La Vergne community.
With a variety of activities for all ages, the library boasts more than 70,000 items
and 28,100 card-carrying patrons.
The library is open
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 9am to 8pm
Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 9am to 5pm
Sunday, closed
The library offers interactive story times for babies, toddlers and preschool-aged
children (the schedules can be picked up in the library or viewed on-line) which
include stories, music and other activities.
The library offers a variety of books on quite a few subjects and offers fiction,
non-fiction and juvenile books, audio books on CD and cassette, magazines, videos,
compact disks and DVD's for the public to check out.
In addition, the following is also offered to the public: a fax machine for sending
and receiving, laminating machines, die cutting machines, computers for Internet
and word processing, computer software, and a variety of home school materials.

Every summer, from June 1 – July 31, the library – in association with the Parks
Department -- hosts a Summer Reading and Activities Program which allows school-aged
children to enjoy reading and activities during their time off from school.
Other special programs – including Breakfast with Santa at Christmas and Gross Grub
at Halloween – take place throughout the year.
